My name is Jack Good, and I'm a freelance Director, Cinematographer, Photographer, Editor, and Creative Director. I'm 20 years old and was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. Right now I'm attending Santa Rosa Junior College working toward my AA in film while still working on tons of freelance projects. I am officially transferring to SF State in the fall of 2025 to pursue my BA in their BECA program.
Growing up, I was always drawn to music, art, film, and people. My dad, who directed music videos, shot award-winning corporate videos, produced music, and more, was a huge influence on me. Growing up in a house full of creativity shaped my path from day one. I started exploring my own creativity early on—trying instruments, drawing, and experimenting with different art forms. As the years passed, I knew I wanted creativity to be part of my career, but I wasn’t sure in what way.
In 2022, I graduated from Santa Rosa High School and started at the Junior College. During my first year, I took film, fashion, and other creative courses. I knew I wanted to be in a creative field, but I still hadn’t figured out the exact direction. This time gave me the opportunity to learn, meet great people, and ultimately realize that film and production were my true passions.
By the start of 2023, I started experimenting with filming and photography on my own. A few friends were shooting concert videos for rap shows in San Francisco. One night I decided to buy a ticket and join them at a show for an artist named Dom Corleo. The venue, Brick and Mortar Music Hall, was kind enough to let me in with my camera, even though I didn’t have a media pass—I didn’t even know what that was at the time! That night, I met people I still work with on tons of projects today. I had never shot an event before, but I jumped in head first and went for it with an old canon rebel. A week or two later, I found my dad's old 4K Sony camcorder from 2011, and I started shooting no-budget music videos with friends from my hometown who make rap music. After making a couple of videos, I felt like everything clicked. It just felt right.
I decided to fully pursue film/production in school and teach myself as much as I could on my own as well. I continued going to shows at Brick and Mortar, knowing they’d let me in with a ticket if I wanted to film. I began posting my concert videos and photos on Instagram. Eventually, the owner of Burd Management, who is the main booking agent for shows at Brick and Mortar, reached out to me. He said he saw something special in my work and offered me a position on the team as their main media/production guy. That’s led to shooting tons of concert recaps, photos, and backstage content for big artists under Burd Management.
Alongside college and my work with Burd Management, I’ve been working on a variety of projects—everything from music videos to branded content and commercials, including work with brands like Stiiizy. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next. Im eager to create tons more content and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me. Feel free to reach out at anytime if you're interested in booking a shoot of any kind may it be a music video or branded content for your company!
I'm totally open to collaborating with anyone interested in creating something special. If you’d like to work together, head over to the "Contact" page above and reach out. I’m available for music videos, photoshoots, branded/commercial content (photo or video), or any creative project you want to bring to life.
